I like this one because it begins on a nice, low open string. In standard tuning it’s the 5th string, the note “A.” Start there, and play up the 5th string: You can play the second note, B, on the second fret with your middle finger, and play C# on the fourth fret with your pinky. The next note, D, is the open 4th string. After D, play the notes E and F# on the fourth string with the same fingers you used to play the B and the C#. Then your index finger will be in position to play the G# on the first fret of the 3rd string, and the last note (A, an octave up from the lower A) is right next to it on the second fret (use middle finger.)

For the upper octave, you’ll want to shift your hand as you start going up the second string by playing the C# with your index finger, and on up ending with your pinky on the A up on the 5th fret of the 1st string.
